Institutional Membership
We have a three-tiered Membership Structure that reflects the size and scale of the operations and the individual membership base within the institution. Those employees who want to participate in RMA Australia events then become Individual Members.
Institutional membership fees support the running costs of the association and subsidises the cost of individual membership for employees. A key benefit of Institutional Membership is an invitation to the annual Chief Risk Officers Forum.
Tier 1 Membership
Major Banks and Financial Services Corporations (annual institutional membership fee of $42,438 per annum (incl GST).
An unlimited number of employees of Tier 1 institutional members may take up an individual membership at no cost (zero fees) from 1 April 2026.
Tier 2 Membership
Mid sized financial service firms and major consulting firms (annual institutional membership fee of $15,755 per annum (incl GST). Up to 100 individual memberships may be taken up at no cost (zero fees) from 1 April 2026.
Tier 3 Membership
Smaller local financial services firms, regulators and consulting firms (annual institutional membership fee of $7,878 per annum (incl GST).
Up to 50 individual memberships may be taken up at no cost (zero fees) from 1 April 2026.

Please note that Tier 1, 2 and 3 members have the option to attend additional “Risk Forums”.

Forums will incur an additional charge of:
$3,155 inclusive of GST (Tier 1)
$3,012 inclusive of GST (Tier 2 & 3)

Individual Membership
If you are an employee of an Institutional Member, you can join as an Individual Member of RMA Australia for zero fees from 1 April 2026.

Associate Membership
Individuals not employed by RMA Australia member institutions, such as financial risk management consultants, or companies that do not otherwise meet the criteria of Institutional Membership are eligible to become Associate members of RMA Australia.
Annual Associate membership fee of $682 (including GST). Students undertaking banking and finance courses are also eligible for this membership.
