David is Group GM Risk Metrics & Measurement at ANZ, with responsibility for provisioning and RWA calculations, credit risk models, risk systems & information delivery and enterprise risk & stress testing.
David joined ANZ in 1997 and since that time has held senior risk roles in Australian Retail Mortgages, Global Markets, Consumer Finance and Group Treasury.
David holds a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Melbourne. He has been a member of RMA Australia since 2006.

Megan brings over 15 years of experience assisting financial institutions improve their risk management operations and execute on regulatory initiatives. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Megan spent five years at APRA and the RBA, where she contributed to client supervision, risk inspections, transaction approvals and various regulatory initiatives.
Megan works with large conglomerate groups and banks with risk transformations, regulatory change projects, new market entry, embedding risk management and risk assurance.

Chief Risk Officer, Credit Union Australia (CUA)
Megan joined CUA in February 2017 and leads the development, implementation, challenge and assurance of CUA’s risk management strategy. The risk team’s focus is to proactively drive a culture of best practice risk management. Megan is an enthusiastic advocate for CUA’s role in the community and outside of work, she is passionate about supporting local issues and volunteering.
An experienced risk and finance professional with more than 20 years’ experience, much of Megan’s career has been with Macquarie Group and Suncorp Bank. Her career began in lending and she has a deep understanding of financial services, having also worked across a variety of other roles in credit assurance and credit policy, Treasury and capital management and risk.
More recently, Megan has held executive positions with responsibility for areas including the management of capital, forecasting, business performance and enterprise-wide initiatives associated with the Basel regulatory framework and prudential banking standards.

Catherine is Head of Governance, Frameworks, Prudential & Risk Culture at Westpac Banking Group. In this role, Catherine is responsible for Risk Governance, Risk Frameworks, Risk Culture and Prudential Governance.
Catherine is Westpac’s representative on the Risk Management Association Management Committee, has previously Chaired the Committee and is currently the Secretary. In this role, Catherine has led the Risk Management Association Senior Women in Risk Roundtable.
Catherine’s key areas of interest include best practice risk governance, risk culture and strategy. A strong supporter of women in risk, Catherine mentors a number of promising young Risk professionals.
Prior to her current role, Catherine held various roles within Westpac including in Credit as Head of the Commercial Credit team and Head of Credit Strategy and Policy team, in Group, as Head of Credit Policy and Risk Governance; and in the Institutional Bank in both the structured asset-backed finance and debt capital markets businesses.
Catherine has a business degree from the University of Technology, has completed AGSM Executive Programs in Leadership and Strategy.

Rick leads PwC’s Risk practice in Australia – which has 300 people specialising in risk management, fraud risk and forensics, actuarial services and Cyber risk management. He has 25 years’ experience in risk management and assurance-related services.
Rick has worked with leading companies in Financial Services, Retail, Consumer, Industrial and Construction in Australia, UK and Asia. His experience includes risk management design and implementation, improving risk operating models, risk measurement and reporting, specific risk management methods and related assurance activities including management self-assessments, project evaluations, internal audits and special investigations.
Catherine has a business degree from the University of Technology, has completed AGSM Executive Programs in Leadership and Strategy and is an AFMA Accredited Dealer.
Kerrie Noonan
General Manager, Credit Analytics and Portfolio Management
Kerrie’s experience includes a wide range of senior risk and capital management roles across banking and life insurance sectors. Kerrie’s risk management experience spans from credit risk to operational risk, compliance and the management of financial crime risk.
As General Manager Credit Analytics and Portfolio Management Kerrie’s responsibilities include leading a team in establishing credit risk appetite, credit risk modelling and analytics, provisioning and portfolio management for the NAB Group.
Prior to joining NAB in 2010, Kerrie spent over 10 years in the UK, Ireland and Germany working in Retail Banking in a range of leadership roles from operational to strategic within Treasury and Risk Management particularly focused on building strong teams and operational excellence in environments.
Mike Ritchie

Mike is the Deloitte Risk Advisory FSI Industry Leader, and also head of the Regulatory Risk business. Mike has spent the last 30 years working in Australia, the UK and New Zealand, advising the banking and financial services sector in the areas of Governance, Operational and Strategic Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Conduct and Culture.
Mike is the Deloitte Risk Advisory FSI Industry Leader, and also head of the Regulatory Risk business. Bosco Mendez
Head of Commercial Credit Risk, Bendigo & Adelaide Bank
Bosco is the Head of Commercial Credit at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, and has overall responsibility for the quality of commercial loans originated across the Bank’s network.
Prior to joining Bendigo in 2015 Bosco spent over 20 years with the CBA in various roles with the last 16 years in credit risk, most of which were looking after clients in the Institutional Banking segment with industry
specialisations in Transport, Aviation, Infrastructure, Retail and Healthcare.
He has a Bachelor of Business – Banking & Finance, as well as a Masters of Applied Finance.
Tara Cahill
Chief Risk Officer, Enterprise Services, Commonwealth Bank of Australia
Tara joined CBA in August 2018 as the Chief Risk Officer, Enterprise Services reporting to the Group Chief Risk Officer, with Line 2 responsibility across Technology, Cyber, Supplier, Group Operations, Payments Utility and Delivery.
Prior to joining CBA, Tara worked at Westpac from August 2004 to December 2017, after a career of over 15 years in management consulting with KPMG and Ernst & Young in Europe and Australia.
Tara is an experienced leader who has worked with international clients and internal stakeholders across diverse industries and solutions, covering a broad range of integrated skills across risk management, IT and business strategy development, programme and project management, change management and communications, and process improvement.
Teena Rowell
Chief Risk Officer Strategic, Technology & Corporate, Suncorp Group
Teena Rowell joined Suncorp in 2000, and is currently Chief Risk Officer Strategic, Technology & Corporate. Teena leads the implementation of enterprise risk frameworks relating to strategic and project risks, driving awareness of key risks and promoting a strong risk culture. Teena also leads risk committee reporting for Suncorp, and works with senior leadership in Suncorp’s Customer, Technology and Corporate functions to build strong risk management that supports the group’s customer led strategy.
Teena has held senior executive positions in the Risk division since 2010, and was previously Chief Risk Officer of the technology and corporate functions. Prior to joining Risk, she worked in senior finance roles including CFO of the technology and shared services function.
Teena is a Chartered Accountant and prior to joining Suncorp worked at KPMG for 10 years, with industry specialisation in Financial Services and Energy and Natural Resources.
John-Paul (JP) Monck
Director, Audit, Assurance & Risk Consulting, KPMG
John-Paul (JP) Monck serves as a banking academic and consultant to financial services institutions. Covering the full spectrum of banking risk management, and governance, in addition to financial economics, JP has served major banks, regulators, firms, and people throughout Australia, China, the United States and Asia.
As a Solicitor and a former bank regulator at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), JP brings a unique brand of experience and understanding of governance and management challenges. JP actively contributes to the Australian professional community through both FINSIA and RMA Australia.
JP has built a deep foundation of practical and academic expertise in finance, risk management and governance in the Asia-Pacific region. JP is a CA and CPA in Public Practice and completed his PhD at the University of Sydney on risk management and governance in Australian banks.
Jeff McArthur
Chief Risk Officer, Greater Bank
Jeff is an internationally experienced Banker having been in the Financial Services Industry for over 20 years in the UK/Europe, New Zealand and Australia. This has included roles within Banking, Wealth, including insurance and investments including brands such as Lloyds Banking Group, Scottish Widows and Standard Life.
He is a passionate Banker who recalls his first day being introduced to his manager that included the ‘welcome to the world of risk management’ despite the role being in marketing! That has set him on the path to ensure that risk and compliance management can and should be a core integral part of any successful business.
In recent years he has sought to embed a technology and digital approach to risk and compliance management – not only responding to the emerging technology but using it to more efficiently and effectively manage risk. This sits complementary to his desire to continue to develop and enhance the capabilities of people.
Jeff was previously a Head of Compliance and also Head of Digital Risk at Westpac for 7 years prior to joining Greater Bank in 2019 as the Chief Risk Officer with accountabilities for all financial and non-financial risk.
