Our Purpose
The Emerging Career Risk Professionals (ECRP) Committee was established as a sub-committee of RMA Australia to create a community for professionals at the beginning of their risk careers. The committee connects like-minded passionate professionals, provides a platform to share ideas and global best practices and builds the foundations for exceptional risk leaders and risk management in the upcoming generations.
How you can get involved
If you are a risk professional with ideally less than 10 years of experience and are passionate about helping emerging leaders within risk, the ECRP committee would be delighted to hear from you.
We offer numerous benefits for professionals looking to grow and develop their skills in risk management, including:
- Professional Growth: ECRP provides opportunities for upskilling in areas outside of formal training, allowing you to expand your knowledge and expertise in risk management.
- Connection: ECRP offers a platform to connect with other new risk professionals, as well as engage with senior leaders in the risk industry. This can help you grow your professional network both within Australia and globally, including with the RMA Board members.
- Enhanced Risk Capabilities: ECRP helps you develop enhanced risk capabilities, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage and mitigate risks.
- Access to Resources: As a member of ECRP, you’ll have access to a range of ECRP materials, including webinars and podcasts, which can further support your learning and development in risk management.

Our Objectives
We encourage professionals to look beyond their everyday role for a fresh perspective on risk management whilst learning from the industry’s leading experts. The ECRP facilitates this by:
- Building awareness and excitement around best global risk practices via webinar sessions with subject matter experts.
- Connecting ECRP members with leading industry experts via our quarterly group mentoring sessions with RMA Board members.
- Discussing innovative approaches to address topical and complex challenges or enhance efficiency of risk management in our bi-monthly meetings.
- Acting as a ‘voice of the ECRP community’ and conduit of discussion for the RMA Australia Board.
