About the Speakers:
Caroline Marshall, Partner, Corrs Chambers Westgarth
Caroline specialises in investigations and inquiries, with a particular focus on corporate or financial crime matters. She acts for corporations facing allegations of bribery and corruption, money laundering, sanctions violations and integrity issues, and has represented clients facing regulatory enforcement by AUSTRAC, ASIC and APRA. She is advising a number of clients in financial services, bullion, real estate and accounting to uplift their AML/CTF programs and bring them in line with the upcoming AML/CTF reforms, as well as training boards and AML teams on new AML/CTF obligations. She also has extensive experience advising on AUSTRAC appointed external audits, compliance reviews and enforcement matters.
Tim Goodrick, Partner, Financial Crime, KPMG Australia
Tim is a Partner in KPMG’s Financial Crime practice where he specialises in financial crime transformation. Tim works with clients in the financial services and gaming sectors across the financial crime ecosystem including customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, targeted operating models, technology, data, and sanctions.
Prior to KPMG, Tim worked for the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) where he spent 5 years in France and South Korea. At the FATF, Tim led country assessments and policy projects on high-risk countries, beneficial ownership, human trafficking, risk assessments, and virtual assets. Prior to joining the FATF, Tim was the Director, Financial Crime at the Australian Attorney-General’s Department where he led Australia’s national strategy and legislation for financial crime including engagement with the FATF. He also previously worked at AUSTRAC. Tim has represented Australia and the FATF internationally in various international fora, including at the FATF, G20, OECD, United Nations, Asia-Pacific Group, and the Basel Committee.

Sue Bradford, Partner, Financial Crime National Offering Lead, KPMG Australia
Sue Bradford is a Partner at KPMG Australia and the firm’s National Offering Lead for Financial Crime, with over 17 years’ experience in AML/CTF and financial crime, having worked across Australia, London, New York and Asia. She specialises in delivering robust, fit-for-purpose and pragmatic financial crime compliance programs, including large-scale regulatory remediation, transformation, regulatory responses, technology enablement, and financial crime advisory, with a strong focus on sustainable regulatory risk reduction. Sue has deep experience across the full spectrum of financial crime domains, including AML/CTF, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, market misconduct and fraud, and has worked extensively with regulators and reporting entities to deliver defensible, regulator-ready outcomes. She has led the implementation of advanced financial crime technologies, including machine learning and AI-enabled solutions, to materially uplift detection and monitoring effectiveness. Sue works closely with AUSTRAC, works with KPMG Asia-Pacific Financial Crime leadership team, and has supported clients across financial services, casinos, wagering, fintechs and digital currency providers.
