RMA Australia is pleased to bring you our February networking event in Sydney – Navigating AI and Privacy in Financial Services: Regulatory Developments and Governance Considerations, hosted by KPMG.
The intersection of privacy and AI has become a critical focal point for the financial services sector. As AI continues to advance, it brings with it transformative potential, but also significant privacy and governance challenges. While there is currently no single law or regulation in Australia which holistically governs the use of AI, existing obligations arising under sector-specific and cross-economy legislation and regulations will apply. Potential plans by the Australian Government for an AI Act mandating guardrails for high-risk AI technologies would complement, rather than replace, the existing legislative and regulatory framework.
In this session we will outline recent legislative and regulatory developments in Australia that impact privacy and AI governance, and the considerations the financial services sector should have regard to when seeking to design and implement a safe and responsible AI governance framework.
Limited spaces are available in person in Sydney.
