2026 September E-Newsletter
A Message from our Executive Director

Welcome to our September E-News,
September was a particularly strong month for RMA Australia, with a busy program of member events including our 2026 CRO Conference, hosted by EY. Thank you to the EY team for such an exceptional event. Your hard work and commitment were greatly appreciated.
The conference had a full room and a record attendance, bringing together risk leaders from across Australia for a day of discussions around “Risk Re-shaped.”
Delegates were encouraged to consider a simple but timely principle in navigating an increasingly complex risk environment: Don’t fight complexity with complexity. It was a useful reminder that, while the challenges facing risk leaders continue to grow in scale and complexity, effective risk management does not always require adding more layers. Sometimes the most valuable approach is to simplify, focus on what matters most and build from there. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to hear diverse perspectives, share experiences and consider practical approaches to the evolving risk landscape.

In September, we held our monthly member webinars and events exploring AI and Model Risk Management.
A special thank you to Suncorp for hosting a highly successful hybrid event, Effort to Insight: AI-Powered Risk Management, delivered live from Brisbane and via webinar, giving members across Australia the opportunity to participate.
We would also like to thank our September hosts, ANZ and FTI Consulting, for sharing their expertise and thought leadership with the RMA Australia member community.
