2026 April E-Newsletter

A Message from our Executive Director

Dear Members,

Welcome to our April edition of the RMA Australia E-Newsletter.

We were pleased to offer the following webinars this month:

Agentic AI Governance and Risk Management, hosted by PwC Australia.

The session featured a highly engaged panel that provided clear explanations and practical, real-world examples throughout.

One notable insight shared was that many Chief AI Officers at leading organisations in Australia are increasingly coming from risk management backgrounds. A perspective that is proving invaluable as organisations navigate the evolving AI landscape.

Thank you to everyone who attended and submitted questions. We saw a record level of audience interaction and engagement, with more than 450 people joining online, making the session really impactful.

We were also pleased to bring you:

Geopolitical Risk – An Australian Context, hosted by NAB.

Brad Carr from NAB and Ben Simpfendorfer from Oliver Wyman explored geopolitical risk through an Australian lens, offering timely insights on this important topic.

As always, if you are unable to attend a session live or would like to revisit a topic, recordings of our webinars are available in the member library.

This month, I would also like to welcome our newest member, DBS and highlight the excellent work of our ECRP (Emerging Career Risk Professionals) team. Their efforts in promoting the many benefits of joining RMA Australia early in your risk career are helping build a strong, connected future community of risk professionals.

Kind regards,
Richard Gilbert
