As we approach another EOFY, it is time to renew your RMA membership if you haven’t already. There hasn’t been a better time to join RMA Australia, with monthly (and sometimes bi-monthly) webinars, face-to-face and hybrid events, a new podcast and access to global risk information.

Thank you to everyone who interacts with our webinars by using our polls and webinar rating system. We gained a 4.8 average rating out of 5 for our webinars over the past year. Your feedback is important to us. It allows us to plan future events and webinars and choose the most current and relevant topics and presenters.

Spotlight on: Selina Coia, Forums Manager at RMA Australia

This month, we spotlight Selina Coia, Forums Manager at RMA Australia. We caught up with her and asked what the main changes she had seen in her 9 years with RMA Australia were.

What are the 2 – 3 primary tasks of your role as Forums Manager, RMA Australia

Ensure the smooth running of the 12 RMA Australia Forum Groups (I.e. Forum events and preparation of Forum documents etc.)
Assisting with the annual RMA Australia CRO events

What have been some of the biggest changes you have seen in the Forums during your time with RMA Australia?

The virtual format of the Forum events (in some cases temporary)
Cross Forum interactions
The gender balance of the Groups

Which Forum is your favourite and why?

All of the Forums are my favourite! (I couldn’t pick one. It would be like choosing a favourite child! They all consist of incredibly smart, committed risk professionals)

In your opinion, what are the biggest challenges facing risk professionals in our industry?

The changing pace/requirements of regulation and clients
The increased technological advances which in turn lead to a higher workload/output (i.e. change in work processes/procedures and an increased need to up-skill/educate oneself)
