November 2020 E-Newsletter

A Message from our Executive Director

Welcome to our November 2020 E-News.

We’ve had a busy year in 2020 despite the obvious difficulties with holding our face to face events during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We held our first live webinar event in April and have continued to deliver monthly, sometimes bi-monthly events for our members. In reality, we have more than doubled our attendees by running our events this way, as it has provided scope for members outside of host event cities to access our expert speakers and risk presentations. We have also seen members dial in from Hong Kong and a variety of other locations.

The live webinar events will continue in 2021. Planning is already well underway, led by PwC’s Diana Quinn, Chair of the Events Sub Committee. Pending restrictions, we envisage that we will run a mix of face to face and live webinar events in 2021, providing more access to expert risk content and networking opportunities than ever before.

Our first event in 2021 will be held on 3rd February (3.30 – 5pm AEDT), hosted by Westpac with Dr Adam Fraser. Dr Fraser is a psychologist and resilience expert plus the author of one of the best-selling self-help books, The Third Space. We expect this event to be virtual, but stay tuned for more information.

Below is a short video that captures our 2020 webinar events program – not a year that we had planned, but one that will most likely become part of the new norm for RMA Australia events.

This year COVID-19 changed the way we delivered our events. We tripled our audience and allowed RMA Australia members outside of event host cities access to the webinar events. It also allowed us to host our first ever International speaker for a webinar event. We would like to thank our Institutional members who hosted webinar events and Livecrowd for joining us on this journey. WATCH VIDEO
