January 2020 E-Newsletter
A Message from our Executive Director
Welcome to our January 2020 E-News.
As we enter a new year I would like to take this opportunity to thank our existing members for their ongoing support and welcome any new members to RMA Australia. Some of our members have had an extremely difficult last few months personally, impacted by the devastating bushfires. Many of our financial services customers have suffered loss and and face hardship and that fact inevitably impacts staff in our member companies. Our thoughts are with anyone in this situation.
It is however an exciting time to be part of RMA Australia. As the premier association for risk management professionals in the Australian financial services community, we will continue to work hard in 2020 to reflect and support the growing professional development needs of our members. 2019 saw us deliver a full calendar of events including 3 nationwide webinars.
Over the past six years we have nearly doubled the number of events in response to member demand. Often our events “fill” in 40 minutes and this sometimes means that members miss out. To ensure this doesn’t happen and all members get access to our prestigious presenters and quality content, we are researching a range of options. These include venues with larger capacity, waitlist priorities and webinars for our “full” events. In 2020, we will be testing new webinar software to allow quick, easy and interactive viewing of our events.
As a member of RMA Australia you gain free access to all our events, have the opportunity to network with industry peers, access key resources and CRO contacts and grow and develop your career.
It will soon be time to renew and/or join RMA for 2020. Renew or join before 31st March 2020 and do so at current member rate of $60. The fee schedule for 2020/21 will be released during March 2020 to take effect on 1 April 2020.
Don’t forget to FOLLOW RMA AUSTRALIA on LinkedIn to stay updated on our upcoming events, current industry hot topics and to be part of our active network.
