A Message from our Executive Director
Dear members,
As we move towards the end of August, we’re reflecting on what has been a big month of face to face events, webinars and connections for our ever growing risk community.
Thank you to our Queensland hosts for making our first hybrid event in Brisbane such a resounding success. “ The Control Evolution: Maturity, Monitoring, and Meaningful Change” brought together members in person and online, with insightful discussions.
⭐ Special thanks to Eliza Moore from Suncorp Group; her support and partnership were instrumental in delivering such a high quality member experience. Eliza, you were this month’s star!
We’d also like to extend our thanks to KordaMentha and Clayton Utz for delivering highly informative webinars this month.

🎓 Meet Emerging Career Risk Professionals (ECRP) Committee member Izzat Fathalla.
When / why did you join ECRP?
Izzat joined the ECRP in 2024, motivated by a desire to build meaningful connections with emerging risk professionals, learn from diverse experiences and stay on top of emerging risks in the financial services industry.
What do you enjoy the most about ECRP & RMA?
What Izzat finds most valuable about being part of ECRP and RMA Australia is the breadth of perspectives across peers from different industries and the practical insights offered on how emerging risks are shaping the future of risk management.
Why would you recommend others who may be interested to join?
ECRP gives emerging career professionals a voice, a network, and a place to grow. It’s an inclusive space where you can ask questions, share experiences, and build a solid foundation for your future in risk.
