The RMA is delighted to bring to its members our second March event: Leadership Disrupted with Mark Braithwaite, hosted by Commonwealth Banking Group
Disruption in the business world is nothing new. Regulatory change, demographics and politics can wreak havoc on some businesses. But, right now, one common disruptor is universally impacting every single organisation at speed. This exponential acceleration of pace, driven by new technology, has now overtaken our ability, as humans, to adapt. It’s the subject of Odgers Berndtson’s new book ‘Leadership Disrupted’.
Speaker: Mark Braithwaite, Managing Director APAC, Odgers Berndtson

Leadership Disrupted & HBR
Published in March 2019, Leadership Disrupted has received accolades from hundreds of CEO’s around the world This short book has a laser-like focus on explaining how executives are challenged by the constantly accelerating pace of change that is causing constant disruption. Mark explains that the common themes that came from his 70 CEO interviews are grouped into Strategy, Talent and the new demands of the practice of leadership. “I gave myself a goal of writing a book that could be read on a 2 hour flight and give the reader usable examples of how they can apply these learnings in their own businesses”.
The research for Leadership Disrupted came from APAC, but the message seemed to resonate globally. In mid-2019, Harvard Business Review Analytics, designed an online survey from the Leadership Disrupted finding, which was completed by almost 2000 executives from around the world. This fascinating study builds on Mark’s findings and clearly shows why some companies are thriving, amidst disruption, while most are struggling to adapt. The HBR data will be published on 25 February 2020
