Nigel Williams, Group Chief Risk Officer, Commonwealth Bank
Nigel Williams became CBA’s Group Chief Risk Officer in November 2018. Nigel is focused on ensuring CBA’s people manage risk well to maintain the trust placed in the Group by its customers, shareholders and the community. He is accountable for ensuring the effective governance and management of all risk types – including credit risk, operational risk, compliance, liquidity, financial crime compliance and insurance. Nigel has more than 35 years of international banking experience, having held Directorships and executive business and risk management leadership roles. Prior to joining CBA he was the Chief Risk Officer at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ).
Tara Cahill, Chief Risk Officer, Enterprise Services, Commonwealth Bank
Tara Cahill became CBA’s Chief Risk Officer, Enterprise Services in August 2018. Tara has responsibility for Line 2 Risk Management across Technology, Cyber, Supplier, Group Operations, Payments Utility and Delivery. Prior to joining CBA, Tara held senior leadership roles at Westpac as well as KPMG and Ernst & Young in both Europe and Australia. Tara is an experienced leader who has worked with international clients, across a diverse set of industries and solutions, building deep skills across risk management, strategy development and large-scale programme management.
