EventsRMA Australia events are of significant membership value as; they are convened for the exclusive benefit of members, are researched and produced in-house, attract high calibre speakers, and have a catering component to ensure conductive networking environments. There are 22 events scheduled on the 2007 Calendar of Events, providing members with a diverse range of event programs to choose from and frequent opportunity to attend. These unique and high quality events are held in central city venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Event SeriesRMA Australia has established four event series that have distinct formats and themes that are branded and promoted as follows:
Forums - Bi-monthly events, held 4-6pm mid-week - A theatre style setting at which three sector representative expert panellists have a one-hour facilitated discussion and an additional 10-minute Q&A session with audience members. The presentation is followed by a breakout to a one-hour standing canap?s and beverage reception at which guest speakers mingle with members. These events keep members up-to-date on the latest risk management concepts, methods and applications. 'Risk Appetite' Presentations - Bi-yearly breakfast or lunch banquet presentations with an open round table setting, where the meal is served in the first half hour, followed by an hour presentation by a special guest speaker. This generally involves one high profile industry leader or expert advisor who focuses on strategic concepts and innovative ideas of board RM appeal. Christmas Presentations - The last event of the year has the same format and room setting as a forum, but is held in a special event venue. It features a keynote address by a major CEO or business leader. Entertainment includes live music and roving performers. Roundtable - A once a year event held late in Sydney late in the year, this is an all day event followed by an early dinner for delegates. It is an 'invite only' event to Institutional Representatives and their senior group executives. Expert guest speakers are invited to lead each of the sessional topics. The day explores shared RM concerns and key issues across the banking and finance sectors, such as; compliance, emerging regulatory frameworks, industry structural changes, trends and developments.
